There were a few minor issues but they have been and will be resolved. That seems to be the most important thing to me.

Our experience with Tanja van der Avoird from Maes Makelaars was very disappointing and extremely unprofessional. Upon arrival, we were 3 minutes early and the previous interested parties were still viewing. When we awkwardly said 'oh yes we are a little early' there wasn’t even a response like 'no worries I’ll be right with you' or something similar. We were bluntly told 'Yes. Eh, just wait inside then I’ll show these people the outside'. When I pointed out that the price was too high for the size and condition of the house, I was immediately contradicted by the realtor, without any room for discussion. The viewing itself didn’t even last a quarter of an hour, which is ridiculously short for such an important decision as buying a house. After only ten minutes, we felt that the realtor wanted to end the viewing. At the beginning of the viewing, she indicated that she would still show us the outside with the gate/ garage door and the carport, but she didn’t even show us all of that. Furthermore, it was stated that there was single glazing upstairs while the advertisement stated that there was double glazing everywhere. When we said this, it was confidently said 'no, that's not in the ad'. We checked this at home immediately and it absolutely was in the advertisement. Throughout the entire viewing, Tanja had this same arrogant attitude towards us. The most shocking thing was the reaction to our offer. After we had made an offer that we considered realistic, we were contacted by phone in a very rude manner with the message that it was an offensively low bid. All in all, a particularly bad experience and I would therefore strongly advise against this realtor.

Of all the viewings we've had in six months, that one with this realtor was absolutely the worst.

As long as your signature is not yet under the purchase agreement, you will be helped perfectly, however from the moment that signature is once in place, unfortunately help is hard to come by. The selling party would pump out a pond with its belonging fish and remove those fish because there was still snow and frost at the time of delivery. This would be done later, in consultation with the buying party they would do this early in the week after, so that the builders we had hired could continue. Long story short, builders want to start, fish are still present, sellers respond nowhere, ultimately have to arrange a pump themselves via Boels and remove the fish, whereby the sellers initially confirm that they will reimburse the costs incurred, to later hear from the real estate agent that they should not do this after all. Terrible service, both as a buyer and as a seller, definitely never again. I really cannot recommend it.
