After 15 years of happy occupancy, selling your ship is not a simple matter. Luc completely took care of everything for me: he was always available for my questions and protected me from a few awkward actions. Open, direct and honest in communication, and with understanding for the (for me) emotional side of the process, he excellently arranged the sale of my ship!

It was time to go ashore. And I had no idea how to arrange everything around the sale. Too many questions, formalities and incompetence on my part regarding selling my ship. Last year, due to personal circumstances, our houseboat was sold. I received very good assistance from ship brokers Fikkers, in the person of L. de Groot. He guided this difficult process for me expertly and professionally. He also took excellent care of the viewings. Together with notary Bosscher from Groningen, he excellently managed the entire sales process.

The sale went very smoothly, which is certainly thanks to the real estate agent. A specialized site that is easily found. Personally, I also find it very pleasant that even the less positive aspects are shown in the photos on the real estate agent's website. Clear for the buyer but also for the seller. The amount of the fee was decisive in choosing Fikkers, and I absolutely have no regrets about that.

Very poorly accessible, I've been to the door 3 times, while according to the opening hours it should be accessible. Then I'll call instead, but no one answers. I'll definitely look somewhere else that I can please with my money!

Fikkers belde me op en beledigde me omdat ik niet had gereageerd, waarna hij ophing. Absoluut schandalig, vooral omdat we oprecht geïnteresseerd waren in de boot. They are very difficult to reach (even during a pandemic) and rarely call back. When selling our boat, we arranged almost everything ourselves with the buyer because Fikkers didn't do it. The buyer made an offer that wasn't passed on to us. We had to call about this ourselves. After we accepted the offer, the buyer heard nothing either and Fikkers was unreachable. Eventually, he contacted us. All of this while a high fee is requested for the 'work' they say they do. Due to all the uncertainty, it caused us a lot of stress and cost time. In addition, Mr. Fikkers is sometimes very unfriendly on the phone and does not tolerate comments or criticism. We certainly do not recommend this broker.

Really nice website, clear and well-organized

I bought a sailboat via Fikkers Brockerage. I was not European, so I had many doubts about VAT, registration, and so on. Agent Luc de Groot had given me misleading information. Before I signed the purchase contract, I was told that the transfer of ownership as a non-European person would not be a problem and that the boat was VAT liable. A week after signing, it turned out that registration was not possible and there was no VAT proof. Afterwards, I did not get the attention and help that were needed. Maybe he was too busy trying to make more money. It was a stressful process for the seller and for me as a buyer.
