I had a thoroughly negative experience with this real estate agent. There was an agreement on the selling price — confirmed by the agent himself — but shortly after, the sale was stopped as soon as I asked a reasonable and simple question: whether proof could be provided of the supposedly completed specialist work (“waterproof putty”) in the basement, where a moisture problem would have been solved. Instead of showing transparency or reviewing documentation, the file was abruptly closed with the excuse that the seller “had to move on” and there might be more money to be had elsewhere. That says it all. For the agent to now try to dismiss this as a matter of “feeling” or “my choice” is misleading. The fact remains that there was an oral agreement, confirmed through communication, and the sale was terminated when I asked for proof of work that they claimed to have done themselves. This behavior speaks little of integrity, is unprofessional, and undermines the trust you as a buyer may have in an NVM real estate agent. A clear warning for me: if difficult questions are raised, this agent does not choose honesty but rather runs away from them. Very disappointing and an experience I would wish on no one.

Beste Eddy, Ik vind het vervelend dat het zo overkomt, maar het is wel wat anders gelopen als jij hier omschrijft. We hebben je gelegenheid gegeven tot keuring en uitleg gegeven. Een keldervloer is altijd vochtig, en er is niet altijd documentatie. De bieding is van onze kant steeds gecommuniceerd en er is uitleg gegeven. Jij voelde twijfel en hebt zelf aangegeven dat je niet verder wilde en stelde daaraan een eis die wij niet konden waarmaken. Dan mag verkoper afhaken, waarbij de keuze geheel aan jou was. Je had kunnen kiezen voor koop met keuring, maar dat heb je zelf niet gedaan. Ik snap je teleurstelling, maar het blijft wel jouw keuze. En weet een kelder ruimte en vloer is altijd vochtiger, dat heb ik ook steeds wel aangegeven, met uitleg dat de keuken vervangen moet worden en je dan wat aan de vloer kunt verbeteren. Ik wens je succes bij het vinden van een geschikte woning. Overigens nodig ik je graag uit er over te praten om je vragen over de situatie waar je mee zit te bespreken, alleen geef je zelf helaas geen gehoor. Dus neem daarvoor contact met mij op dan maak ik graag een afspraak om het te bespreken. Ik denk dat dat de juiste passende manier is en dit bied ik je graag aan. Je bent van harte welkom.
