We withdrew the assignment from Het Betere Boerenerf to limit further damage and risks and nevertheless paid him the previously agreed salary. After that, we sold the house independently. Apparently not hindered by any shame or decency, he still sent us an invoice with the full commission, as if the work had been done by him. In the meantime, we were so exhausted by all the misery that we only wanted peace and agreed to a settlement. He stated that his response was delayed because he first had to recover from such a review. Furthermore, his reaction was the same as with other negative reviews I find on the site. Namely, it's the customer’s fault and certainly not Het Betere Boerenerf’s. Moreover, he does want satisfied customers but only when the bill is with the customer and remains with the customer.

Unfortunately, there was traffic along the way. We called the real estate agent to see if we could arrive later and they said it probably would be possible. I indicated that I would prefer to know beforehand if we couldn't come, so we could turn around in time and go home. No, it probably would be possible. Ultimately, we were called and told that the real estate agent had to go home after all. In the meantime, we had been on our way for 1.5 hours (with another 30 minutes to go) and could make a U-turn and drive back for 1.5 hours. Of course, I understand that they can't wait for us forever, but they should have said that earlier, because we already knew there would be traffic at the time of departure (via Google Maps!) and we had called immediately. We are really frustrated by this! Especially the lack of clear communication! This costs us time and (fuel) money!
