When I wanted to sell my house, I immediately chose the local real estate agent based on experiences I had with viewings years earlier. Rob and his team worked the entire sales process super cooperatively and thought along with scheduling viewings until the actual sale. Even when there were some issues related to notarial matters, there was also an internal employee named Melissa at the local real estate agency who provided excellent and clear support. We found the support during the sale a little less personal; it could have been more personalized. And more explanation during the first viewing, for example. A viewing was suddenly scheduled on a day outside of ‘our blocks’ and we were not informed about this by phone. This is not an everyday occurrence for us, so we had expected somewhat more personal contact in that area. The service and support beforehand was excellent!

From the initial introductory meeting, contact was pleasant. We were listened to and there was plenty of room to clarify things for ourselves before entering into an agreement with Rob and his team. During the sale of our house, all contacts were excellent; where possible emails were sent, when necessary calls were made. The evaluation of the viewings was extensive, the pricing strategy well coordinated in advance, but also the removal of the sign was done in consultation. We experienced this as a very pleasant, personal approach whereby our house was also sold in record time!

We bought a house some time ago through NVM Makelaar Rob van de Laar. During the negotiations, Rob was quite abrupt and showed little interest in both me and my wife, during independent phone calls. We experienced this as unpleasant and not customer-friendly. That was the reason for us to give the sale of our own house to another real estate agent. The house that we bought through Rob van de Laar turned out to have a hidden defect. Rob vd Laar made absolutely no attempt at mediation to bring together the selling party (where he lived next door for 15 years and therefore has an appearance of bias against him) and us. This may also be related to the fact that we entrusted the sale to another real estate agent, although Rob vd Laar claims to be too professional for that. In short: we do not recommend this real estate agent in any way.
