Kocken Makelaars staat al sinds 1932 voor betrouwbare en persoonlijke makelaarsdienstverlening. Het bedrijf is ontstaan door Walther Kocken, die in 1946 samen met zijn zoon Wim de weg voor de groei van het bedrijf opende. In die tijd ontstond in Purmerend en de omgeving een sterke trek naar woningen, wat Kocken Makelaars tot een bekend gezicht in de regio maakte. In 1975 vestigde het kantoor zich op de Plantsoengracht 1, waar het tot op vandaag gevestigd is. De overdracht van generatie op generatie zorgde voor een sterke basis, waarop Walther in 1981 de zaak overnam. Naast het makelen richtte hij zich ook op projectontwikkeling en assurantie. In 2000 werd de assurantiënafdeling verkocht, waarna hij zich volledig op het makelen concentreerde. Ook zijn zoon Wim, die in Amsterdam werkte bij een gerenommeerd kantoor, keerde in 2012 terug naar het familiebedrijf. Sinds 2018 leidt hij Kocken Makelaars, met ondersteuning van Walther. Het team bestaat uit Cas, Cato en Marjolijn, die samenwerken met een duidelijk doel: klanten zo goed mogelijk helpen dat ze graag terugkomen. De nadruk ligt op persoonlijk contact en kwaliteit, zodat iedere klant zich gewild voelt. Kocken Makelaars is aangesloten bij de NVM en MVA, wat getuigt van betrouwbaarheid en kwaliteit in de sector.
