We purchased a commercial property in Almere through this real estate agent (a new construction project), but unfortunately our experience has been very disappointing. The property was supposed to be handed over in December 2025 according to the agreement. Meanwhile, it is already February and the work is still not fully completed. Moreover, there has been no correct and complete handover. What worries us extra is that the parking spaces are only to be handed over in October 2026. This was never clearly communicated and is also not mentioned in the purchase agreement. This kind of essential information is something you as a buyer should expect. To make matters worse, our contact person is no longer reachable, which makes communication and handling even more difficult. Our advice to others: be extra cautious when you go into business with this real estate agent, especially with new construction projects. Many promises are made, but little of that is actually fulfilled in practice. Make sure all agreements are in writing and get good legal advice.

Very poor (no) communication from Mr. Peter deJoode. The tenant of my apartment is interested in purchasing the property. Gouwestad was recommended by a family member. However, no responses to emails, and it seems almost like they don't want to sell. I myself live in the US and know that there are 'higher customer service standards'. But Gouwestad doesn't know the mountain at all.

Experienced this several times regarding a purchase. The first time, it unfortunately didn't go through at the last moment from a mortgage perspective. Until that point, very friendly and nice, but later that was much less so. When we also viewed a house through them in a later stage (on which we also placed a bid), we received no response whatsoever. As the 2nd (!) and 24th photo of a house, they took photos of my parent's garden as if it were public land. That is very unprofessional. With a photo, you should be able to assume that it belongs to the house/lot being sold. They don't respond to our email. So you don't know that what you see is also what you are buying.
