Wij zijn zeer goed geholpen door Van de Giesen, na een flinke teleurstelling bij een andere makelaar heeft Robbie het voortvarend en met passie aangepakt. No nonsense en direct met oog op resultaat voor de klant. Inmiddels hebben wij ons plekje in Frankrijk gevonden en deze recensie is dik verdiend!

In preparation for the sale of our house, we asked several real estate agents in the region, including Mr. Robbie van der Giesen, to come by for an appraisal of our home. Mr. van der Giesen came in the morning, was friendly and open. During the conversation, we indicated that it would be nice if the house could be sold as soon as possible so that a short bridging period would be necessary. Mr. van der Giesen said he would return later that day with an appraisal. Later in the day, he did indeed come by at the agreed time. Notably during this visit was that Mr. van der Giesen no longer seemed as open as earlier that day. For example, he no longer made eye contact and kept looking away. It seemed as if he didn't dare to look us in the eyes. Independently of each other, we both had the same experience. He had put down an appraisal on paper that was so low that he didn’t even dare to say the amount out loud. He turned the paper around and circled the amount for which he wanted to put our house on the market. He was €55,000 below the amounts for which his regional colleagues wanted to put our house on the market. When we made this clear to him, he said that we would never get it for that price. Of course, we did not enter into an agreement with this real estate agent. This realtor knew that we were somewhat in a hurry and may have thought he could make quick money by putting our house on the market low so that it would sell quickly and he would quickly collect his commission. Our house was ultimately sold for more than the amount Mr. van der Giesen said we wouldn’t get.
Dear Anja, What a pity that you had this experience with me. I was aware that you had invited 3 brokers so consciously setting low to sell quickly doesn't quite fit the strategy. Because then I could have filled in that I wouldn’t get the assignment. I wanted to advise you honestly and mentioned 2 amounts for you to take into account: 1 for your financial picture to avoid problems later on, and 2 what I expect the property will generate in the market! I've just checked your sales process again; you started too high. You needed to drop the price after a few weeks to create interest, which is quite special considering the time your house was for sale. Disagreeing with each other is allowed and can be, isn’t it? But your assumptions and accusations are unfair and unjustified. Avoiding someone for whatever reason doesn't suit me, and I have never suffered from insecurity 😊 Your other point of quickly collecting brokerage fees, I also cannot agree with; I find that a nasty accusation when you have realized more than 200 transactions per year for over 10 years, you really don’t need to play the game of getting commission quickly! Your way of thinking says more about you than about me, I think! I'm sorry it turned out this way! You are always welcome to discuss the process again together over a cup of coffee. Greetings Robby

Bad tenant. Unprofessional in keeping appointments and communication. Submits meter readings late. Does not terminate the lease agreement in a timely manner. Returns keys late. Delivers the rented object with defects. Pays invoices late. Refuses to pay the final invoice.
