Friendly, very accessible and quick to respond. Nothing could be further from the truth, however. Where the process up to the draft purchase agreement went smoothly, there was radio silence afterwards. For three days our buyer's agent tried in vain to get in touch with Bram. During those same three days, we were happily toasting with family on our return to my parents' village, unaware of anything. When we finally got back in touch with Bram, it was stated that the list of items we had proposed (which should have been filled in by the sellers themselves) had been shot down by the sellers and therefore they no longer wanted to proceed with us. We received this message in disbelief. If Bram had bothered to contact us about this, since our proposal was a proposal (and no more than reasonable), then none of this would have had to happen. What later turned out, however, is that a new viewing request had been planned. Someone who wanted to come and look at the property for the asking price. Bram had indeed bothered with that. That something like this happens is very disappointing but unfortunately unavoidable. Where it really went wrong for us: the deliberate radio silence to create space for a new viewing and the lie afterwards. Bram, that you work on behalf of a seller is perfectly understandable but here your moral compass should have pointed in another direction.
